About the Designer:

Margarita Calderon grew up in the beach town of Cancún, Mexico. Early on she was entranced with the beauty of the ocean, mermaids and eventually bikinis. She began working by making one of a kind custom suits for girls that were looking for something special they couldn’t find anywhere. Working one on one with clients she gained a knowledge about women’s concerns with bathing suits; what they liked most in quality, design, comfort and fit. After a few years of experience with custom swimwear she started her own line.

Our Girl:

She’s a dreamer at heart and what she wears reflects her personality. She likes to stand out from the crowd but still be comfortable. She knows that to look good you need to feel good. She sees the world as a magical place and likes to pretend she’s a character in a fairy tale. She feels happiest in the sunshine. She’s eternally falling in love with life and forever chasing the rainbow.

Design Philosophy:

Knowing quality is especially important for swimwear (it has to hold it’s own in the sun and water) Margarita holds high standards for materials and craftsmanship. The cuts are purposed to be flattering to a woman’s body with different designs to fit different shapes. Remembering the magic and fun of playing dress up when we were little girls and mixing it with the sensuality and femininity we have now. Using a colorful palette and textures inspired in underwater worlds thought out to look best sparkling under the sun.
